In a world where global competition is experienced, there is undoubtedly a need for managers and employees with different fields of expertise to be at the top of the development index and succeed in the competition. Staying within the limits of the development index can only be sustained with a trained workforce in every field. Supporting continuous development; National and international education and training programs specialized in the area will be possible by raising people with natural resources and environmental awareness management. The diversity of programs in our department regarding management disciplines reflects different areas of expertise based on national and international knowledge. Istanbul University differs from other universities in the region, especially in its emphasis on research.
In addition to undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students, many international students study at Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Business Administration. In addition, faculty members of the department do research efficiently in research centers and different projects, in addition to giving lectures in various departments of our department and the Faculty of Economics.
Department of Business Administration; It maintains a positive atmosphere that characterizes relations between academic staff, students of the department, and administrative staff. Since its establishment, the traditions of the Faculty of Economics have been continuing for a long time. We are proud of our students and academic and administrative staff, who work as a team, aim for continuous improvement, and show extraordinary efforts.
The primary advice I can give to our students will be: "Do not focus yourself and your lessons on a narrow field during your education at the university. Plan your academic program with an interdisciplinary principle by taking advantage of the flexible structure offered by the education and training programs; try to increase your competence in different fields, learn a foreign language at a good level, learn to use computer programs related to your field well and meet many professional and non-professional people by improving your social relations. Finally, get to know your academic advisors closely."
On behalf of everyone in the department, we invite you, our esteemed students and academicians, to the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics, Istanbul University, to research, work and gain experience. The doors of our academic and administrative staff are always open to you, and we will continue to welcome anyone from your family who wants to join. Even if you sometimes lose, I wish you a successful life and hope you do not succumb to defeat.
